PORPA and Couer dAlene Rowing clubs work together to move fleet to winter storage

Gayne Sears

Snow and cold tempertures gave way to a cold and sunny day for PORPA volunteers Val, Mary, Curt, Jim and Gayne to join about a dozen Couer dAlene rowing club volunteers to de-rig about 20 rowing shells, carry them to the trailers, tie them down, move them to the Kootenai County Fairgrounds and unload them. We then carefully moved them to thier winter storage under the grandstands. Excellent to share this effort with our fellow Inland NW rowers! Thanks to everyone who came out to help! FYI- sorry for the weird orientation of the photos loaded with this story- not sure how to fix it :).
