2019 WARREN FOERSCH AWARD announced

During our annual membership assembly last month, the PORPA Warren Foersch Award was introduced.

This award was created to recognize the member(s) that showed exceptional performance or improvement during a calendar year. All this in the spirit of prevailing against all odds with never ending optimism and commitment as demonstrated by Warren.

For 2019 the selected member for this award was Sheila Thomas for the enthusiasm shown.  She not only improved her rowing skills but formed a novice masters women four, co-chaired our regatta and worked hard to keep the association board active.

Sheila receives an individual plaque for 2019 and will hang on to the PORPA award plaque that one day will hang on the wall of fame of our future boathouse.
